Fourth of July!!

We had a perfect 4th of July this year minus one thing.. or actually 5 things... the Black's!! It just wasn't the same without them. But we had a fabulous, relaxing weekend with family, great friends, great food, hot sun, cool water and cold drinks! The lake levels are down due to this terrible drought but we didn't let it stop us from having fun! We just went out a little deeper to float and the boys managed (barely) to get the jet ski in the water. Charlotte took her first jet ski ride and promptly fell asleep on it! She was worn out from swimming and the nice little ride just lulled her to sleep! Thanks to Nana for tons of delicious cooking, most importantly the homemade banana pudding! Mom and Dad work so hard to make sure everyone has a good time when we are there, I know they go home exhausted and not rested after our visit! We really appreciate it and LOVE our time at the lake!

Charlotte's precious friend Lofton came to visit us! We love getting together with our dear friends, the Mitchell's - especially now that we have these 2 little buddies!

They spent much of the day playing under the oak trees... rough life :)

Dance Class

Charlotte's friend Brooke has been going to a dance class and really wanted Charlotte to join her! But... Charlotte's daddy was not wild about the idea! We finally convinced him to at least let her do a free trial class. And he was right... Charlotte prefers gymnastics and swimming! But she sure did look cute in her tutu and loved walking around saying "tutu". She loves to dress up and wears it often but isn't as much into dance as her friend Brooke. So, in keeping with our 2 activities at a time rule Charlotte did not join dance and is still loving Rolly Pollies and swim lessons!

Weekend at home

This summer has been FULL of fun! We have been going non-stop, which you will see when I get my computer back (it has all of my pics on it!). Last weekend we were so happy to be home and enjoying our quiet little nest!

julie's 40th birthday!

So, the computer is in the shop being fixed so I will be using the iPad to blog for a few weeks. This means there won't be nearly as much text since it takes me twice as long to type on this thing. Here are pics from Juju's 40th b-day party. We rented a house on the pedernales river, it was PERFECT except for the fact that there was no water in the river!! A good summary of the weekend is lots of tennis, lots of swimming, a little relaxing (this group doesn't sit still very long), and lots of laughing. The big birthday bash thursday night included a delicious dinner outside and Drew Womack serenading us under the stars. It was heavenly. We always have so much fun with this group, they are good for the soul :). Miss Charlotte had a ball playing with the big kids as you can see from all of her precious smiles in these pics. She loves summer time!!
