these shoes are made for walkin....

Thank goodness you love being outside!!! Me and your dad spend lots of time outdoors and it looks like you are going to fit right in. When you are really fussy we bundle you up and go out. As soon as we walk out the front door you are happy! There isn't too much to do outside in downtown Dallas but we spend lots of time walking Katy trail and at the dog park with Macy.

A Slice of Heaven

We are so blessed to have the lakehouse at Cedar Creek. Mom and Dad bought it a few years ago and we have already made so many great memories. Summer days are full of chatting on the porch in the morning, tubing, jet skiing, floating, fishing, swinging with Nana, and SUNSHINE all day and great food on the grill, beautiful sunsets and games at night. Winter days are spent by the fire, lounging in pj's most of the day, afternoon walks, home cookin' from Nana and s'mores by the fire at night. The Bosworth grandbabies are some lucky little girls and boys - what a fun place to grow up!!

Charlotte's first lake weekend was a success. She slept great in the pack'n'play, something that she needs to get used to because we are always on the go! She enjoyed being held and loved by all of her family.

Owen did not like the fire too much... he was staying safe behind Dad's leg!

A Newborn's Conversation With God

Aunt Krissy sent this story to me when I found out I was pregnant. I will always treasure it.

A baby asked God, 'They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?' God said, 'Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.'

The child inquired further, 'But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.' God said, 'Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy.'

Again the child asked, 'And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?' God said, 'Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.'
'And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?' God said, 'Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.'

'Who will protect me?' God said, 'Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.'

'But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.' God said, 'Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.'

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name.'

God said, 'You will simply call her, 'Mama.

Newborn Pictures

We had your pictures taken at 2 weeks and I love the way they turned out. You look so precious with your little ruffle bootie and your adorable headband. You were so alert and look just beautiful. I love watching the slideshow and still cry everytime... you are my little miracle. I never knew I could love someone so much.

To watch the video, click here. Be sure your sound is all the way up - the song is so sweet!

Here are a few of my favorites:

2 weeks old... and growing like a weed!

2 week stats:

8lb (50%) - wow!!!
20 inches (50%)
35.5 cm head circumference (50%)

What a relief! I was so happy to hear that you are getting enough milk to grow... I wasn't too surprised though as you had developed a buddha belly and a double chin since your last weight check!

We love seeing Dr. Lindermann - she is super laid back and that is why mom picked her! She was a 3rd year resident at Children's when I was an intern and is now a wonderful pediatrician. I had lots of questions about you, it is so funny to be on the other end of the doctor-mom relationship. It sure is different to have your own little bundle. I have definitely become more sympathetic to new moms and have revised my newborn visit advice!!

Reading.... sort of.

I LOVE children's books. I always have, and Lauren knew that so she did a book theme for my baby shower. It was sooooo cute. All of the food had books to match, all of the guests brought a book for you and Lauren and Annie gave you a huge basket of all of Owen and Jackson's favorite books. Nana went to Barnes and Noble and asked for all of the books with Charlotte in the title and bought all of them!!! My favorite is Brave Charlotte, so sweet. So, needless to say, you have TONS of books already. I love reading to you even when you aren't in the mood. I love this picture of you covering your eyes so the light isn't shining in your face.

Beautiful table complete with Grandma Ruth's pink tablecloth that Mom brought back for her from her Europe trip in high school!

Two of my favorites!

Complete with matching pinkalicious cupcakes from Society Bakery - amazing!!!

Wrapped In Love

You are blessed with 2 talented grannies!! We love all of your handmade baby blankets... what a special gift! We use them all and we will keep them for many years to come! I still have my baby blanket from my mama and I love it, I hope yours are as special to you as mine.

Uncle Vinny brought you a beautiful pink blanket from Argentina. It is one of my favorite gifts that we got for you. It is the perfect size and so soft and just beautiful. You look so sweet wrapped in it.

Our first house!!!

This is one of my favorite pics! It seems like a dream... a dream that is finally coming true! It has been a long time coming and it is so hard to believe that residency is almost over! (And it is still so hard to believe that you are actually ours to keep!) We are building a house in Austin and we are SO excited. This is your first of many many pictures to come in your front yard!

First Trip to Austin

Well, we decided that we better invest in comfy carseats because you are going to spend a lot of time on I-35!! Your first trip was a success! We loaded up early after your 5am feeding and headed out. We stopped at Starbucks in Georgetown to feed you and get mom a Chai latte and then made it the rest of the way. You did great!

We had a great visit. You got to meet 4 great friends - Karsen, Kash, Grace and Wyatt. They loved cuddling you - it was so sweet! It is strange to see my "babies" holding you and being the big kids! We know you will love playing with them and they will teach you all kinds of good (and bad!) things. And I am thrilled about the potential for great babysitters for years to come!

We spent lots of time at Ja-Ja and Pa-paw's house. We didn't have to bring anything for you to sit in because your bootie never hit the ground! It's a good thing I'm nursing you or I may have never gotten to hold you! Your Ja-Ja and Aunt Ashleigh absolutely adore you and you could lay in their arms all day long. You are so blessed.

Charlotte and Kash

Karsen Lane

Ju Ju tried to keep you - we had to fight to get you back!!

Cuddling with Ja-Ja

love love love Uncle David

Leroy was so interested in you! He got SO nervous when you cried in the bath!

Sleeping in daddy's bed from when he was a baby... so sweet.

Grace and Wyatt

Dad and his girlies

Sister and Claude came to meet you too - what a treat!

Pa-paw does such a great job of making Macy feel like she is still loved with Charlotte getting all of the attention!

Owen turns TWO!!!!!

Wow! I can't believe 2 years have flown by! It seems like yesterday we were anxiously waiting his arrival! Owen had a great birthday party... it was Backyardigans theme, his FAVORITE show! He was so proud of all of his decorations, balloons and especially his cupcakes. It was so cute. It was a small party - just his family and his best friend Henry, and he was SOOOO happy! I think it is adorable how much he loves his family.

We sure hope Charlotte turns out a lot like her cousin. He is so smart! He knows all of his letters, spells his name, counts and even reads his books (he has them memorized!!) And he is so affectionate - he loves to give hugs and kisses. And of course he is turning into such a HANDSOME little boy! We love Owen!

Charlotte's first party! This is a good pic of what a party animal she was! We put the party plate behind her so she remembered that she was at the party!
