Fall Lake Weekend

One weekend early in November we headed to the lake to spend some time with Nana and Pops. It was pretty windy but the temperature was nice so we spent most of the weekend playing outside. Charlotte loved exploring the place, saying hello to the lake and just playing with everybody. When I look at these pictures, I am reminded what a happy girl Charlotte is. She so very rarely cries or throws tantrums (yet!) She loves her family and her little life so much. One of her favorite things to do is to look through pictures of all of her adventures. I have to say, her first 2 years have been full of fun! She is a lucky girl. I know there will be many new challenges ahead (especially after 2!) but I hope that she never loses her happy disposition. She brings us so much joy.

Go, Go Diego!! She loves this bike and chants that over and over while she's on it! Hopefully one of these days her little legs will reach the pedals!

I can't remember the story behind this one, but I think it is funny that Charlotte always ends up without her clothes!

Regents Football 2011

This football season was quite a whirlwind! The team started out small but managed a 3-0 start to the season. The next 4 games were filled with injuries and we didn't pull out a single win. This season's theme "War" suddenly seemed fitting. The younger guys had to really step up and some new boys even had to join the team to have enough guys to play. After lots of hard work, prayers and quick rehab we had our team back and made it to the State Championship!! It was not their best game and ended in a loss but the coaches were just SO proud of the boys for getting there.

Charlotte Grace LOVED football season this year. She started asking for football by about Wednesday night each week. She had no problem making it to the bitter end of each game, and then was delirious enough to run and chase her daddy on the field afterwards. She loved to yell "Go boys! Go Regents! Fight Knights! Go Daddy!"... all season long! We are already looking forward to next year!

When I look back at these pictures these are my thoughts... 1. my baby changed a whole lot in one football season (tear) 2.she was sooooo happy in all of these pictures 3.she loves her baby doll and baby Dean 4.baby doll never has clothes on 5.I am so thankful for my other "single mommy"/coaches wives friends and 6.I am so thankful that Regents football is a part of our lives!

Sweet girl ready for game one! Her Regents football dress from Auntie Lauren worked as a shirt this year! I was so happy to get 2 years out of it!

A Regents football Thanksgiving tradition... all of the families come to watch practice on Thanksgiving morning. Afterwards everyone shares hot chocolate and gives each boy thanks for who they are. So, so sweet. Here are the players saying hello to Charlotte who suddenly became very shy :)

Kaufman and Lawson even made it!

Halloween Party

We hosted some fall family fun at our house this year! I LOVE the fall, I think it is my favorite time of year. We were blessed to have a gorgeous day and almost everyone was able to come. Thank goodness Nana was able to come and help mommy cook (or rather do ALL of the cooking!). We had homemade chili and cornbread for the adults and nuggets and fruit for the kiddoes. Casey was so sweet to bring adorable Halloween cupcakes - they were delicious!! We sure had a great time and I hope we can make it an annual tradition!

I sent daddy out to take some pictures of my little bumblebee before the party. Thank goodness because she hated her costume and kept it on for about 10 minutes! Martha had already tried to put it on her earlier in the week, she literally ripped it off and JaJa had to repair it!!
Here she comes!

Beautiful little bee!
