Friday night the Black family came over and she got to meet Owen and Uncle Justin. They came with beautiful pink flowers, a yummy dinner (complete with homemade chocolate chip cookies) and a birthday present for Charlotte. They brought her the book "On the Night You Were Born" quoted in the previous post. It is the sweetest book - I highly recommend it to all mamas! I am finally able to read it all the way through without crying!! Lauren and I have been anxious to introduce Owen and Charlotte for a long time... we cannot be more excited about our precious little cousins! We have lots of plans for them as they grow up! I hope they will be the best of friends. Owen loves to say Baby Charlotte (prounounced Char-jit) and gave her a quick kiss but that was about it. He was much more interested in climbing our stairs and eating up all the fruit in the house!
Saturday, Uncle David and Aunt Ashleigh came ALL the way from Austin to meet Charlotte. They had just come up for Christmas since I couldn't travel but they made another trip because they couldn't wait to meet her. Pa-paw and Ja Ja came too - what a treat! It meant so much to us. We were not very good company - as soon as she was fed and in Ashleigh's arms Sam and I were sound asleep!!!
And Sunday, Uncle Vinny and Uncle Mike (we consider him family too!) came! Vince is working in San Antonio now and made a special trip to see us. He brought more beautiful flowers and the cutest My First Teddy Bear. We felt so special!! They couldn't get over how tiny she was. She loved laying in both of their arms - so sweet! The whole fam wanted to see Vinny while he was here so the Black's came back and Nana and Pops brought everyone dinner. We had a great time.
Thank you everyone for making our first days at home so special - we LOVE our family!
Owen and Charlotte (they looked so cute for about 10 seconds... then Owen pushed her with both hands and said "All done!")
Aunt Ashleigh loves to cuddle with you! Uncle David was not feeling well so he didn't hold you this time. We will post a great pic of the two of you together later!

Can Charlotte breathe with her face smothered in that blanket?? I think Uncle Justin forgot how to hold a newborn:)
