Lakeway Pool

Lakeway pool is by far Charlotte's favorite activity this summer. She asks almost every day when she lays down for nap if we are going to the pool when she gets up. She loves the toddler pool - it is perfect because it is 3ft at the deepest so she can totally swim by herself! She has really progressed with swimming this summer, and can actually move herself under water! These pics were taken earlier in the summer, but she has since graduated from her puddle jumper. She is fearless and a total drowning risk so we have to watch her every move. Of course naked baby doll comes to the pool too and joins in all of the fun!

On this particular day, Brooke also came to the pool AND we ordered pizza to the pool for dinner! Dream come true for Charlotte. We had to drag her out at almost 8pm!

Sandbox!!!

The sandbox is definitely a huge hit!!! Charlotte has put in many hours building sand castles, filling up buckets and dumping them (over and over and over), burying various body parts, making "cookies", etc. She prefers Mommy and Livi, Dad or Brooke in there with her but will also play by herself for a long time. She is getting SO much better about playing independently, which was perfect timing with sister's arrival. Poor Olivia has learned that sand is very hard to get out of peach fuzz! Thank you to Nana and Pops for the sandbox and thank you to Papaw for delivering a truck full of sand!!

Father's Day

JaJa and Papaw got their pool all cleaned out just before father's day, so we spent most of our weekend swimming! It is amazing what they could do, the pool looks as good as new! The house is really coming along too. It kind of felt like the fire never happened as we sat out back and swam like we did so many times before. I sure hope once they move in and get settled they can start to forget a little bit too.

JaJa and Papaw got Sam the best father's day gift of all for a guy with 2 little ones... a night off! We left both girls for the first time, and had a nice dinner at Eddie V's. Sam had to keep reminding me to quit rocking in the barstool since I wasn't holding anyone, I probably looked like a fool!

Hangin' in the shade is a must for this summer baby!
